Implementation

Alps Group first drafted the Functional Design Specification (FDS) based on the User Requirement Specification (URS) provided by the client. Upon approval, the team developed a standard object library (cylinders, motors, motion systems) on a Beckhoff PC platform with InTouch Wonderware supervision.

Alps then programmed the PCs, supervision system, and Cognex vision, integrating all these components with the industrial IT layer.

This commissioning enabled a seamless and highly precise automation of the watch barrel assembly process, meeting the industry’s stringent standards.

When I joined Petitpierre SA a decade ago, we handled all software programming internally. As demand for special machines increased, we had to either expand our software department or outsource part of the software development. Alps Group perfectly met our expectations. The team has been, and continues to be, highly professional and available. We are fully satisfied with their services. In fact, our partnership continues, and the close collaboration between Petitpierre SA and Alps Group allows us to best serve our clients.
