Renovation of the automated storage system.
Retrofitting the warehouse management application, originally commissioned in 1995, modernizing the equipment, and ensuring seamless integration with the Warehouse Management System (WMS), all while adhering to the limited downtime available during the Christmas and New Year period. This modernization made it possible to:
- Reduce the number of breakdowns and simplify troubleshooting
- Address hardware obsolescence issues
- Lower the noise level of the installation
Modernize the interface and enable remote access and control
Achievements
Alps Group carried out a retrofit of the proprietary application managing the warehouse, which includes nearly 100 motors and 240 I/Os. To successfully complete this project, the team undertook the following tasks:
- Design and manufacturing of the electrical panels to comply with the latest safety standards, incorporating Schneider Electric and Danfoss components
- Development of a new SCADA system based on Archestra System Platform, interfaced with the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Restart of the installation within just three weeks
We thank you for your commitment and hope to renew this experience on future projects.
